Sauble Township's Board of Trustees voted on November 14, 2022, at the regular board meeting to approve and adopt the Proposed Zoning Ordinance, as presented and recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission. A notice was published in the Lake County Star. The new Zoning Ordinance will go into effect December 2, 2022, 12:01 AM.

Waterfront properties on Iakes, rivers/streams, ponds, and swamps have additional zoning requirements and permits from EGLE (formerly DEQ). Before you begin any project, please check with our Land Use Administrator, Bill Rodgers.
You will need a LAND USE PERMIT from Sauble Township before you can apply for any construction/mechanical/electrical permits from Lake County.
