 Proposed New Central Fire Station, 6711 8 Mile RD,
Irons, MI 49644
In August 2020, Sauble, Elk & Eden Township Voters passed a new millage to build a new Central Fire Station. The new station was constructed on a donated, 5 acre parcel of land on 8 Mile RD in Elk Township. The location is centrally located between the 3 townships and the parcel of land was donated by Judy West Charnes of Irons. The Sauble-Elk-Eden Joint Building Authority was formed to oversee the project for the purpose of financing, construction, furnishing, and equipping the Fire Station.
