2024 PROJECTS
- Generator for Township Hall - Sauble Township received a $10,000 grant from the Lake County Community Foundation and has contracted with GM Electric, of Ludington, MI, to install the Generac Generator in the spring or early summer of 2024.
- Former Fire Station #1 - Sauble Township is the owner of the former Sauble-Elk-Eden Fire Station #1, next to the Township Hall. The building's exterior is in need of maintenance and repair. Quotes to paint and repair soffit/fascia are too expensive at this time. We are looking at cost effective ways to accomplish the repairs and maintenance. If you would like to volunteer your time and talents, we would like to hear from you!

2022 PROJECTS
- Security Camera System has been installed, funded by American Rescue Plan Act funds (ARPA). Election sites are required to have security cameras when an Absentee Voter Ballot Box is on the premises. In addition, the township has had a few areas/incidents where cameras are needed. COMPLETED by Brooks Security and Electronics LLC
- A New Separate Water Tank has been installed for the Township Hall. Currently the Sauble-Elk-Eden Fire Station #1 houses the water tank for both buildings. Once the SEEFD moves to its new Central Fire Station on 8 Mile RD, Station # 1 building reverts back to the Township. We do not want to incur extra costs in heating the old fire station for the water tank. This work is funded by American Rescue Plan Act funds (ARPA). COMPLETED by Peterson Well Drilling
- Township Hall Insulation/Siding There is little to no insulation in the building and the old vinyl siding is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. Insulation of the building will help to reduce heating (propane) costs. COMPLETED by Fresh Coast Foam (Local contractor, John Bennett) who donated all labor and materials, at no cost to township. July, 2022 THANK YOU!
